Self-care during the healing process

It is important that you take good care of your physical body during the healing process in order to support the body during this phase. Your body is going through major upgrades & shifts. Your DNA is changing & upgrading so make sure you support your body with the necessary practices that will assist this process. LISTEN TO YOUR INTUITION during this time it will guide you to the right practices for you.

My recommendations:

Vitamins

Taking the right supplements & vitamins during this period is very important to support your clearing process.

My suggestion is to see a holistic doctor or a naturopath to figure out the right vitamins for you. However, the ones that really helped me is magnesium, zinc & vitamin D. I would say for everyone these three are a must. Also, I recommend an adrenal vitamin to support your nervous system which is on over drive during this period, whether you are in a dark night of the soul or just a healing phase — you need to support your nervous system.

I found that especially during the Dark Night of the Soul or ego death process when there is a lot of resistance in the body, it is important to help with the stress level. Herbs like holy basil can really help calm the nervous system but if you get an adrenal supplement it will have all the necessary herbs you need to support your body during this releasing stage.

Water Therapy

Water is very important during this phase. Make sure you are consuming at least 2 litres a day or more if your body needs it. Listen to your intuition on what you need. Also, take baths & showers whenever you feel like you need them, this helps wash away the old stagnant energy & helps wth the clearing process.

Acupuncture

Seek a naturopath during this phase or a healer that can help you. I recommend acupuncture to move the energy out of your body. Acupuncture helped me tremendously during my clearing & purging stage when a lot of old energy was being released from my body.

Rest

Make sure you are getting enough rest. During the healing process you will be going through a lot of energy shifts & upgrades which means your body will be on overloaded & needs a lot of rest. Take time off & do not feel guilty, this is an important phase and you need to honour & embrace it. So take time off to rest if you feel guided. Remember there is nothing wrong in putting yourself first!

Energy Healing

If you feel guided make sure you seek help from a healer. I did energy healing on myself as I am a certified reiki healer during the times my body needed it. However, if you are not a healer yourself please seek one during this time to help you move the energy. Follow your guidance.

Mediate

Find a quiet space, it can be on your bed & sit quietly. Listen to healing music. During my dark night I was always stressed & in resistance, what helped me is just sitting still & listening to healing sounds. Not everyone mediates the same way, there is no right or wrong. Mediation for me is just sitting still & relaxing, disconnecting from my mind even though that is not possible during heavy purging so do not try to force it.

Nature

Make sure you go for walks & spend time in nature. I am still working on this one myself. Talking a walk to balance yourself is always sometime that works for me & is important for you on your healing journey. Walks help yo calm your mind & ego when it is driving you crazy which happens during this process. So go outside & just walk. Sitting on the ground can also help calm your nerves & is a good way to ground yourself when there is a lot of energy in the body.

Be kind to yourself during this very difficult yet important stage of your journey. I know it is not easy but it is leading you to your greatest self! Trust & surrender. You are evolving!
